Michael L. Mitchell is a freelance photography based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Since 1977, his photographs have been published in NIP Magazine, The Cincinnati Post, The Cincinnati Herald, Jet Magazine, Ebony Magazine, Indianapolis Recorder, Network Magazine, Radio News, and acrhive images for radio station’s WGRR, QIO2, WIZ 103.5. Michael has provided fashision photograph for Mondi, and A Step Ahead, and other clothing stores. Also, The Cincinnati USA Visitors Guide, and other promotional brochures for the City of Cincinnati. And for The Center for Closing The Health Gap, and Black & White Cancer Survivors Gala, and The Bates Foundation’s My Toys For Kidz. He has served as a still -photographer for three local motion pictures, and in 1999, Michael was one of 39 photographers selected to have images appeared in Tower Publishing Inc.'s Cincinnati Crowning Glory. He was selected again in 2001 for their coffee table book, Cincinnati Tapestry. His has photos in L.A Reid’s book, “Sing to Me”. His work has been featured at the Art Beyond Boundaries Art Gallery in Cincinnati. Michael has several images displayed at Cincinnati Black Music Walk of Fame interactive exhibit. Since 1980, Michael has captured images of Cincinnati’s Music Festivals, originally held in Riverfront Stadium/Cinergy Field, later moved to Paul Brown Stadium, and now Paycor Stadium, where his work is used in promotion of the festival’s program and website. Michael has been commissioned to photograph recording artists such as Al B. Sure, Midnight Star, The Deele, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Sinbad, Karen White, R&B group ‘Today’, Hip Hop group OTR and Renaissance. He is a graduate of New York Institute of Photography, in Photojournalism, and Certificate of Completion in Commercial Art, and Art History.

   He was selected again in 2001 for their coffee table book, Cincinnati Tapestry. His photos appear in L.A Reid's book, "Sing To Me".
